Madder, Ethiopian Style Book Pouch.
Tag #000962

So, I was trouble when I took Julie Leonard's boxes and enclosures class at the Center for the Book. I challenged almost every assignment that she gave us, and used the least desirable materials including buckram, Tyvek from FedEx envelopes (a minor crime) and even chicken wire...

This is structure is loosely based on a Ethiopian pouch which was designed to preserve the Koran in the desert heat.

This one wouldn't protect much in the desert but it's made of Tyvek and Chicken wire so it will probably survive a minor nuclear blast...

Have you taken the Buckram Challenge?
